PLENARY SESSIONS

Harnessing Domestic Wealth
Malaysia is rich in natural resources and has been harnessing the revenues from natural resources to invest in diversified economy. This session will talk about efficient management of not only natural resources, but include the country’s major economic contributors, e.g. palm oil, agriculture, tourism, etc.

Surveyors: Exploring New Frontier
Automation of surveying methods today has created disruption in the surveying professions. But more to this, the technological renaissance too, presented surveyors with opportunities to rebrand themselves as modern surveyors. The session will feature latest technological advancements in land, building and valuation surveys that shall complement the conventional surveying methods.

Meeting Regional and Global Demand
Issues such as climate change, natural disasters and urbanisation are now demanding regional and global solutions instead of local focus. Malaysia needs to prepare its capacity to respond to these challenges, especially in terms of resources, technology uptake and policy. The session will feature policy-makers, SMEs, and multilateral organisations discussing how the country is preparing itself to meet the regional and global demand.
