Kamarul A. Muhamed
Kamarul is an entrepreneur with business experience and interests ranging from oil and gas, IT, advertising, financial advisory, property development and a personal passion in aerial systems. By discipline, he is a London trained chartered accountant and spent some 10 years of his time in the UK after graduating from Nottingham Trent University in Accounting and Finance. Upon his return to Malaysia, he joined Computer Associates International, a company listed on NYSE and left 4 years later as Director and Country Manager for Malaysia and Brunei. His current main area of interest is in the development and application of autonomous, small, unmanned aerial system for inspection, surveillance, photogrammetry and GIS applications. Kamarul is also an experienced UAV pilot and have flown projects / missions in various challenging locations around the world including along the Volga-don canal in Russia, the Caspian Sea, Greenland, Iceland, Turkmenistan, Sudan and the United States. He will share his experiences on various innovative use of UAV Technology and provide an insight into UAV future, particularly on low cost, survey grade geospatial imagery and mapping using lightweight, semi long-range system.
