Ooi Wei Han
Weihan, Ooi was received the bachelor degree in Geomatics Engineering at University Technology of Malaysia in 2004 and Master degree in GIS and Geomatics Engineering at University Putra Malaysia in 2006. After graduation in the same year, he joined National Space Agency of Malaysia (ANGKASA), an agency under the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, works as a Research Officer until now. He works under the space application and technology development division with specific responsibilities on R&D programs and activities related to Global Navigation Satellites System (GNSS), GIS and Remote Sensing. Ooi had participated in several international courses and meetings and had make paper presentations in numerous national/international conferences and workhop.

New Continuously Operating Reference Station GNSS Networks: An Infrastructure for Research and Development (R&D)
A large number of Continuously Operating GNSS Reference Stations (CORS) network in the world are operating nowadays for multi-disciplinary applications. All the stations mostly are complying with a common set of standards for site material, receiver and equipment, data transfer and basic utilities. The first CORS in Malaysia was established by JUPEM with consists of 78 stations over the country and it mainly targeting for the surveying and commercialization purposed. ANGKASA MALAYSIA in collaboration with University Technology Malaysia are joint developed a GNSS CORS called scientific network in Peninsular Malaysia, with a new GNSS stations setup as well as integrated with the existing ISKANDARnet and MSK DGNSS systems. This paper discussed the overall work of the new CORS network starting from antenna set up, system architecture, operational and data availability. It targeted to be benefited in various R&D consisting of science applications and atmospheric study.
